Pull the needle out of the notch Step 3. Flip the needle and insert it back in the notch. Step 4. Tighten the golden tip back on Step 5. Lubricate the needle with an oil based lubricant or a little soap in water solution. Step 6. Place a few drops of lubricant in and around the ball's valve, this helps maintain the valve. Insert the needle until it is roughly 3/4 of the way into the ball and begin inflation. Step 7. Push and pull the handle to inflate the ball as required and pull the needle out. Step 8.
